Core differences between business systems

I've been researching business management software recently. It is often hard to separate actual operational functionality from standard vendor marketing noise. Has anyone else struggled to clearly define the real boundaries between these platforms?

I recently spent some time trying to structure my understanding of corporate software categories. During this process, I found a useful article that explains the technical and functional distinctions rather plainly. For a grounded breakdown of erp vs crm https://www.customerization.ca/understanding-differences-between-erp-and-crm-systems/ offers a rational overview. It clarifies that one focuses on back-end operations like inventory, while the other handles customer interactions. The author also touches on the realistic limitations of AI in these systems, stressing that clean data is mandatory before any automation works. I found it to be a practical, sober read for basic orientation.м
